一、魔术的历史正确的魔术起源时间无从考据，推测从有人类活动开始就有了魔术。魔术的起源是宗教和信仰。在古代，人们相信自然界中所有的事情，都是因为有精灵或神灵操纵，因此巫师或祭师利用人类迷信的心理，利用人们所不知道的原理制造神绩，让人们相信这些是由精灵或神灵所行出来的，藉由魔术强化宗教的仪式，信众们更加确认他们的信仰。历史上最早的魔术纪录是在埃及，大约是在西元前2600年，也就是距今四千多年前。
他能将鹅的头砍下，而断了头的鹅依然能走动，最后再把头接回去恢复为原本的鹅。该纪录描述了这名魔术师对鹑鹏和公牛也进行了相同的戏法，但法老要求他也对犯人施行相同的戏法时，他拒绝了。古希腊的神殿也利用了魔术的原理，例如祭师打开神殿大门时，风箱会吹向地面，祭台上便出现了火焰。还有应用风管制造的会说话的神像，而最早的戏法纪录则是杯与球戏法(CupsAndBalls)这是目前人们所知最古老的戏法。
